Hopehouse accepts self-referrals, referrals from social service agencies and churches.

An appropriate candidate for the service will be a young, single mother with one child who has a strong desire to improve her life by becoming economically self-sufficient.

To be eligible, candidates cannot be pregnant, must test negative on a drug screening and go through an interview process that includes release and review of school records.
